We are seeking a highly energetic, self-driven, and proactive Billing Manager to take full ownership of our revenue cycle, billing operations, and financial tracking systems in our Istanbul office.

In this role, you will oversee and enforce the firm's e-billing protocols, streamline client invoicing processes, and work closely with our attorneys to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient realization of revenue.

Key responsibilities

Oversee submission and compliance with client e-billing portals (e.g., CounselLink, Serengeti/Legal Tracker) and resolve invoice rejections/appeals promptly.
  • Proactive oversight & ownership: Independently track, monitor, and resolve outstanding billing items, WIP (Work in Progress), unbilled time, and client invoice queries.
  • Partner & client collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison for partners regarding client billing guidelines, alternative fee arrangements, retainer management, and complex billing inquiries.
  • Communication & liaison: Serve as a clear, confident direct contact for partners, fee earners, and international clients regarding billing guidelines, fee arrangements, and invoice clarifications.
  • Process improvement: Continuously identify workflow bottlenecks and implement progressive solutions to optimize billing accuracy, speed up realization rates, minimize write-offs and shorten billing-to-collection cycles.
  • Reporting & analysis: Generate accurate weekly and monthly financial reporting (billing realization reports, WIP tracking, and unbilled time summaries) on law firm billing metrics, collections tracking, and revenue realization.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial billing operations, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role within a law firm;

  • Familiarity with law firm metrics (realization rates, utilization, AR turnover);
  • Advanced Excel skills (Macro, VLOOKUPs, INDEX, Pivot Tables, data reconciliation);
  • Strong understanding of trust accounting, partner distribution metrics, and legal revenue tracking;
  • High ownership & accountability, taking charge of responsibilities from start to finish;
  • Strong ability to self-manage, anticipate operational needs, prioritize tasks;
  • Quick-thinking and solution-oriented when encountering roadblocks;
  • Exceptional communication skills;
  • 100% on-site position at our office.
